One of the LIKA members - SIA Witteveen + Bos Latvia, together with partners Plein06 from the Netherlands, Panevėžio Keliai and Terra Firma from Lithuania with the project BRIDGING NATURE 100 has won the IDA (International Design Award) Gold Award in Architecture Categories / Arches, bridges, viaducts and gateways.
This interesting bridge solution was developed within the framework design contest organized by Kaunas City Council in 2017. The everyday function of the bridge (carriageway and sidewalks) is supplemented with a green area, terraces at the edge of the span and supports. The IDA prize was awarded for the 12th time, the IDA's headquarters are based in Los Angeles, and the evaluation of nominees was conducted by an international jury.

The Latvian Association of Consulting Engineers had the honour of hosting in Riga representatives of the Board of the European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations (EFCA), as well as colleagues from the Estonian Association of Architectural and Consulting Engineering Companies and the Lithuanian Association of Engineering Consulting Companies. The meeting took place on 4 March 2026.
