Annual “Meeting of Baltic Consulting Engineers” was organized on June 9, 2017 in Riga, Latvia.
Participants: Latvian Association of Consulting Engineers (LIKA), Lithuanian Association of Consulting Engineers (LACC), Estonian Architects and Engineers Association (EAACEC), Ministry of Economics of Latvia and companies of consulting engineers.
Main issues:
• Rail Baltica - the largest infrastructure project in the Baltic States, potential co-operation
• National legislation and impact on the engineering consultants industry, any suggestions for improvements?
• Work of Authorities of Municipal Engineering Networks, requirements for Consulting Engineers.
• Use of FIDIC contracts or equal forms
The Latvian Association of Consulting Engineers had the honour of hosting in Riga representatives of the Board of the European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations (EFCA), as well as colleagues from the Estonian Association of Architectural and Consulting Engineering Companies and the Lithuanian Association of Engineering Consulting Companies. The meeting took place on 4 March 2026.
